“Alongside digitalization and the personal computer diaspora, we are now at a point were the introduction of Internet in the nineties is having its influence on our profession. It’s a really exciting time for the Interaction Designer, this excitement in combination with the opportunity to take up these questions in our exhibition, highlights the challenges the designer is facing. Some fear that clients who want to author and participate in the tools we are designing for them, will lead to the eradication of the designer’s role. I disagree, I can’t imagine a future without designers, I believe strongly in the collaborative nature of the Internet and the open source movement as a practice that can also be applied to the exhibition and our profession.”
